We do offer housekeeping! The suite or villa is cleaned before the guest arrives and then after the guest's departure. The unit is equipped with a starter kit, which consists of toiletries, toilet paper, and dishwashing liquid for the first day. After the starter kit runs out, each guest is responsible for purchasing all other supplies they will use during their stay.
Beginning June 1st, 2013, Star Island Resort will require a $200.00 credit card authorization per unit from all guests. Our retail outlets will also become cash-free and will no longer accept cash. Owners and guests may charge purchases on their credit card or charge to their room with an authorized credit card on file. (Excludes Gift Shop, Water Sports, & Concierge)
The resort collects the security deposit to protect the contents of each unit for the owners and Managment Company. The authorization can only be done with a major credit card and it is not an actual charge, but a hold placed on your credit limit. A debit card can take up to 30 days to release the authorization. Please refer to your card issuer for their authorization policies.
Yes, packages for guests can be sent to the resort.
We charge a handling fee of $3.00 for each package received by the resort.
If a package is delivered during your stay, include the guest name and reservation number. Call us at 1-800-513-2820 to receive your reservation number and confirm the guest name is added to your reservation.
Upon arrival, please call Ext. 6000 to verify your package has arrived and make arrangements for delivery.
*Due to space limitations, we do not accept packages more than two weeks prior to arrival.
We offer three types of units:
Mini-Suite (475 sq. ft.): The mini-suite sleeps 4 people featuring a separate bedroom with two double beds, a den-by-day which has a queen sleeper sofa and a mini-kitchen equipped with coffeemaker, microwave, mini-fridge, dishwasher, 2-burner stove top, china, & utensils. Each room features its own remote control color television.
1 Bedroom Villa (850 sq. ft.): This lavishly decorated villa sleeps 4 and has a master bedroom with a king-size bed and jacuzzi. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, dining room for 6, remote control television, & stereo system. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, & dishwasher. Most units have a washer & dryer.
3 Bedroom Villa (1450 sq. ft.): This villa sleeps up to 8 and offers a king-size bed in the master bedroom with a jacuzzi. two double beds in the second bedroom, 2 bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, and a living room with a queen sleeper sofa. Also included is a den-by-day, which has a queen sleeper sofa and a mini-kitchen, which is considered the 3rd bedroom. Most units have a washer & dryer. This unit is a combination of the Mini-Suite & 1 Bedroom Villa.
The resort fee is $15.00 plus tax per day per unit for any new reservation booked on or after March 1, 2019. It includes complimentary wireless internet access, parking, use of the fitness center, tennis, basketball, miniature golf, putting green, driving range (free 8:30Am to 9:30AM), men's & women's locker rooms with saunas and private Jacuzzi, and sand volleyball. Resort Fee is taxed at 13.5%.
Star Island Resort has many activities. They include 2 outdoor pools (one is zero entry), 9 tennis courts, putting green, driving range (free 9AM to 10AM), 9-hole miniature golf, sand volleyball, and basketball. There is no cost for any of these activities. However, when you pick up your equipment, you will be required to fill out our rental form. If the items are not returned by 7 PM the same day, a charge will be placed on your room. For a full list of activities, click here.
If a timeshare owner fails to make timely payments of timeshare plan common expenses, ad valorem taxes, or special assessments, an assessment lien against the timeshare owner’s timeshare interest may be foreclosed in accordance with a judicial foreclosure procedure or a trustee foreclosure procedure, either of which may result in the loss of the timeshare owner’s timeshare interest. If the managing entity initiates a trustee foreclosure procedure, the timeshare owner shall have the option to object pursuant to Florida law, and in such event the managing entity may thereafter proceed only by filing a judicial foreclosure action.
